I am a cloud and data engineer with a strong background in computer engineering and industrial management engineering.
Passionate about open source, data processing, platform engineering, AI and building hacky projects in my spare time.
I am currently working at Datwave as a cloud and data engineer.
In my spare time, I enjoy reading, coding and travelling as much as I can. I like running and I am slowly getting into hiking.
I love attending conferences, hackathons, and meetups to learn new things and meet new stimulating people.

• Cloud & Data Engineer - Datwave (June 2024-Ongoing)

  I am working as a Cloud & Data Engineer at Datwave, a company that provides data solutions and AI services to its clients.
  My main tasks include designing, implementing, and maintaining data pipelines and cloud infrastructure using Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  I collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data solutions that meet the needs of our clients. Here is a list of some of the projects I have worked on:

  1. GCP Data infrastructure for an Italian regional government agency:
     • design of the analytics data architecture with GCP tools like Bigquery, Dataform and Dataplex
     • development of the cloud architecture with Terraform
     • implementation of data governance and security measures
  2. Development and maintenance of Terraform modules for a Swiss telecommunications company:
     • Development of Terraform modules based on the customer company policies
     • Development and provisioning of Google Cloud infrastructures via Terraform infrastructure-as-code
  3. Development of a PoC AI solution for extracting data lineage metadata from legacy codebases, mostly COBOL and SAS. Used Google Cloud, Python, LangChain, Podman.
  4. Design of a data platform solution to support customer care using AI chatbots. I developed a data platform to manage context data, both stored and in real time from external systems.

• Junior Data Engineer - Bip xTech (May 2022-June 2024, ~2 years 2 months)

  I worked as a Junior Data Engineer at Bip xTech, a leading Italian consulting company that provides data solutions to its clients.
  My main tasks included developing and maintaining data pipelines and workflows using PySpark and Python.
  I collaborated with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data solutions that met the needs of our clients. Here is a list of some of the projects I worked on:

  1. Fintech data project:
     • Maintenance and development of data workflows with PySpark cluster on on-premise.
     • Deployment and execution of workflows via Tuber/Airflow using on-premise Kubernetes cluster and Spark cluster.
     • Creation of data products as Tableau reports for customer insight about payment transactions.
  2. Energy management data forecasting project:
     • Maintenance of data workflow for energy retail and business with Python/PySpark on Cloudera on-premise and Azure Databricks
     • Data Science and data preparation on energy commodity data with Python/Pandas/Polars
     • Maintenance and development of data reports and BI products with Python notebooks and MS Excel

• Intern Software Developer and Data Analyst - Plannet srl (October 2021-May 2022, ~7 months)

  I worked as an intern software developer and data analyst at Plannet srl, a small Italian company that provides software solutions for industrial companies.

  • Designed and developed ML system to forecast time series industrial production data
  • Developed data processing pipelines to prepare data for ML models time series forecasting
  • Maintained and developed PowerBI reports to visualize historical production data
